PREPARATION GUIDE
INTRODUCTION
This Subfloor Preparation Guide describes the different types of
procedures available to produce the most acceptable substrate
possible, ready for the installation of one or more of our products.
All aspects of subfloor preparation and floor covering installation should be carried out in accordance with
the appropriate British, European or International standards and follow current good working practices.
During the laying of the floor covering an ambient temperature of at least 18°C must be maintained along
with a floor temperature of at least 10°C. The type and condition of the subfloor has a direct influence on
the installation and performance of a floor covering and the importance of subfloor preparation cannot
be emphasised too strongly.
