PRIMERS
Make sure you’re primed and ready.
Priming can help to prevent ‘pinholing’. These are small holes
in the smoothing compound that have the appearance of
pinholes or blisters, caused by the slow escape of air from
absorbent surfaces as the smoothing compound dries.
If an adhesive or smoothing compound dries too quickly they
may not achieve the desired bond strength required. Priming
also aids workability of the compound to maximise product
flow/working time.
