TESTING AND DEVELOPMENT
Making sure that flooring professionals can rely on the
advice in the RAG® is the task of the F. Ball’s Technical
Service Department, which spends thousands of hours
each year rigorously testing the performance of F. Ball
adhesives with a vast range of floorcoverings at the
company’s purpose-built laboratory at its Staffordshire
headquarters.
Complying rigorously with British Standards, the tests
measure initial grab, as well as bond performance over
time, in controlled conditions and using state-of-the-art
equipment designed to simulate the effects of ageing.
Only once it is certain that a bond will perform for the
lifetime of any flooring installation and the recommendation
is endorsed by the floorcovering manufacturer will it be
included in the RAG®.
